How to set Priority For Selected Branched Components present in Branch Table

Overview

In Specification Generator, requirement is to get automatic placement for a particular branched component under branch table.

Problem Description

With the use of Specification generator, Branch Table is being used to pick branch olet, Tees, couplings etc automatically. While modeling a branch user can opt for sepc grid to select multiple option. But there is a requirement to set priority for desired entry like Half coupling to pick automatically without choosing it from grids. Below steps will describe on how get it appeared inside the modeler.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch Open Plant Specification Generator & select project unit.

  2. Choose to load a spec through File menu option.

  3. Open Branch Table Editor.

  4. Select Header Size and Branch Size as per Coupling size. Say DN100 XDN 100 for default spec mEX-OPM.

    Note: Please ensure the entry for components for particular size should be available in spec.

  5. Set all possible entries for the corresponding sizes. Select Multiple codes by clicking on 3 dots ‘…’ mentioned in drop down list.

  6. Click on ‘OK’. It will pick all selections.

  7. Again launch Branch table Editor, Right click on cell for selected size and click it on desired code appears in the list. Say half coupling here.



  8. After selection click on anywhere in the dialog to skip.

    Note To remove the selection user need to double click on the box.:

  9. Save specs. Make sure OpenPlant modeler is closed.  

  10. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and place a header and try to place branch.

  11. Notice Half coupling got selected automatically without prompting any other option.
