Problem:
AutoPIPE Vessel is working very slow to start and use, sometimes crashes.
Why and what can be done?
Solution:
There are following few factors that can help to avoid the software lagging issue.
1. Is using a data folder on a distant machine (like a server) or in local machine?
Answer: For optimal performance, best to have the application installed and operating on a local computer. When installed in a server environment, network traffic can have a negative affect on the speed of the application. Another words, the application will become sluggish to use.
2. Is file saved on a distant machine (like a server) or in local machine?
Answer: For optimal performance, best to have the model file saved in local machine and not on the remote server.
3. What are the Default Paths in Preferences Dialog?
Answer: The Default location should have been :
Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Engineering\AutoPIPE Vessel_4X.XX.XX.XXX
Other: C:\Users\Public\Documents\AutoPIPE Vessel_4X.XX.XX.XXX

Other file paths can be used/assigned, however this may impact the application's speed.
4. What are the Set Default Data in Preferences Dialog?
A) Check the option chosen in Report Preference,
We suggest to choose the option 1 or 2, In Preference > Set Default Data > Report. See below image.
B) It could be an issue with OpenGL (used in the 3D view),
You should try to disable the 3D window to check.
In Preference > Set Default Data, Unselect "Docking View". Then close the 3D window
