Problem:

The following occurs when I perform the Strength Calculations:

Errors:

334 Tubesheet: Design code required isn't part of our license (ASME)..

How to fix it?

Answer:

First ensure that you have purchased the appropriate license for the calculations you are trying to perform ; example: you would not be able to perform Heat Exchanger calculations if you do not have AutoPIPE Vessel Enterprise license.

Please confirm the following:

1. The correct codes are available on your license server. File> License Management Tool> License Checkout tab. Is the correct license code shown in the listing? If not listed, contact Bentley Licensing team for correction.

Note: AutoPIPE Vessel Enterprise covers all codes. If using only Vessel Enterprise license, Add-on codes may show as grey (see image below), this is OK.

2. In side AutoPIPE Vessel, select File> License Settings>  turn check-box On next to " Show license at start-up". Close the program and restart the program, when the AutoPIPE Vessel Licensing dialog appears press the OK button to start using the program.

However, if you already have the appropriate license eg. AutoPIPE Vessel Enterprise but still getting this error message, perform the following steps:

Go to File>License Settings. In the AutoPIPE Vessel Licensing dialog box make sure the correct option for license is selected eg. Vessel Enterprise – Includes all codes.

Among the 6 Add-on Codes at the bottom, the appropriate ones should be green eg. if you have Vessel Enterprise, all 6 options must appear green. If they are grayed out as shown below, then it may need to reset the light indicators:

To reset, click "Demo" radio button ON. press OK button to close the dialog, open the License Settings dialog again, and select the "Vessel"  or "Vessel Enterprise – Includes all codes" radio button as it applies. This should reset the code indicating lights according to your available licenses in LMT (License Management Tool).

The error issue should now be resolved and you should no longer be seeing the error message. You
might need to do this resetting whenever you see this error message.
