How to Suppress Branch Dimensions by Size

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, to suppress few dimensions by size or by number of components.

Background

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, to avoid cluttering user wanted to suppress few dimensions which are repetitive in drawings and produce clutters, due to which it is getting difficult to read some other labels and relevant data.
In Isometric Configuration dialog, under "Dimensioning" option, there is an option as "Suppress Dimension" where user can set the Diameter threshold and number of components threshold value. Below steps will aid user to achieve the desired settings. It has been written in context with OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. For Version 08.11.09.564, it is working for such branches which does not have pipes in it. Partially it can be checked on it. 

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. Select Project unit.

  2. Select "Configuration" Option.

  3. From "Isometric Configuration" Dialog > Dimensioning > Miscell. Tab, Check Suppress Dimension. 



  4. Check on Hide Branch Dimension and set threshold values to Dimeter and number of components.

    Note – The value can be specified in decimal or millimeters. The conversion factor user is 25.

  5. Setting "Use Diameter Threshold" value will suppress branch dimension when the diameter is below specified value.

  6. With Option "Use Component Count Threshold", it suppresses those branch dimension whose count is below specified value.

  7. With the current requirement to suppress 4” below size and less than 30 components, we have changed the values. 



  8. Save the settings and generate isometric drawing and verify results.
