Problem:

Why reported Hydrotest Test Pressure values (ex.0.2975 MPa) does not match code equation hand calculations (ex. ASME VIII DIV.1,ex.0.455 MPa)

Pt = 1.3 (0.35) (118.29 / 118.29)

Pt = 0.455 MPa

Solution:

While investigating the model, appears that in this case a Test Factor had been entered into the Component dialog.

See AutoPIPE Vessel help for this test Factor. Notice that the Press test equation has been modified from the code equations. So long as any Test Factor value is in this field, the code equation will be superseded by the equations referenced in the help.

An enhancement (958553) has been logged to indicate a note in the output report to refer the user to the superseded equation.
