When uploading NSG data into our test system, I have an error shown for several different autorities data.
The Batch Schedule shows the following for example:
14 | ASD Spatial Consolidation | Warning | ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("EXOR"."NM_NIT_TP21_SDO"."GEOLOC")
This messager is usually shown as the application can’t create a valid spatial shape for the record, causing it to try and insert a null value which then produces this error.
If you open the Street Gazetteer Manager>Data>Administration>Generate ASD Placements NSG0025 form you can run a facility that checks the spatial records for all your additional data. Once the operation is performed, the form will give a list of all the records it couldn’t generate a spatial shape for.
Below is an explanation of the most common messages:
Success – ASD spatial record was drawn and stored successfully.
No Path – This error is usually shown when the underlying street shape has a gap somewhere. This should be reported to the supplier of the gazetteer data who should then fix it for a future publication.
No street elements close enough to the XY co-ordinates – This message is shown as at least one of the co-ordinates on the ASD record is more than 10 meters from the street. This should also be reported to the supplier of the gazetteer data.
Apart from the above you should be ok to ignore the warning shown during the load
