Problem:

How to model a skirt stiffener in AutoPIPE Vessel

Solution:

Normally, AutoPIPE Vessel does not allow a bracket to be attached to the skirt. If you would like to see a new feature added to the program where one can model a skirted mounted bracket, please vote in favor of an existing IDEA or create a new IDEA.

Otherwise, starting in release of AutoPIPE Vessel 40.06.00.007, a lug can be placed on an anchor as indicated below.

The wear plate of the tailing lug has been removed.
The distance/TL has been calculated. 2000 - 16.5 - 200/2 = 1883.5 mm
Anchorage :

Thickness of the base plate = 16.5 mm
Length of the skirt = 2000 mm

Stiffener :

IPE200 Height = 200 mm

Results in the calculation results pages 45 and 46.
