Tall slender pressure column are design for dynamic load due to wind and seismic, sometimes the deflection of tall pressure column is more than allowable and to restrict the deflection guide support on the tall column at specific interval along the height of the column is provided. Can Auto Pipe Vessel design the guide support or calculate the reaction on the guide support and corresponding stress on the shell of the tall column?
Guide supports can be added by using the Insert>Support option, the location and the stiffness of the support can be entered which would be taken into account during the calculations for calculating reactions , moments and stresses in shell:

Under the Wind module there is a field for entering the maximum allowable column deflection value which is taken into account during calculations for limiting the column deflection and the shell thicknesses would be determined accordingly:
