Problem:
AutoPIPE Vessel Drawing Customization - Adding a Bill of Material
Solution:
- From AutoPIPE Vessel, select File > Open to display the Open dialog.
- Navigate to the C:\Users\Public\Documents\AutoPIPE Vessel\Examples\VesselData\Horizontal\ VesselOnSaddle BS pd5500.emvd file, then press Open.
- Start the Set Drawing Layout and Add a new sheet Sheet: 3.
- Select BOME01 from the Header block name drop-down pick-list.
- Select the following values:
- Label: bom.xls
- Direction: Top to bottom - Press Add to Set, then place the view in the sheet.
- Select File > Save.
- In AutoPIPE Vessel, select Execute > Generate Drawing to display the Drawing dialog.
- Enable the Setting Plan and Initial Flat View radio button.
- Press OK.
- Open the C:\Users\Public\Documents\AutoPIPE Vessel\Examples\VesselData\Horizontal\VesselOnSaddle BS PD5500.dgn 2D drawing .
FORMAT_001:
FORMAT_002: - Notice there is no FORMAT_003.
- In AutoPIPE Vessel, select Execute > Generate Drawing to display the Drawing dialog.
- Enable the Bill of Materials radio button.
- AutoPIPE Vessel launches Microsoft Excel.
- From the Drawing dialog, press Choose Original to display the Find a File dialog.
- Navigate to the original 2D drawing (C:\Users\Public\Documents\AutoPIPE Vessel\Examples\VesselData\Horizontal\VesselOnSaddle BS PD5500.dgn), then press Open.
- Press OK to close the Drawing dialog and generate the drawing.
- Open the C:\Users\Public\Documents\AutoPIPE Vessel\Examples\VesselData\Horizontal\VesselOnSaddle BS PD5500.dgn 2D drawing .
