Why the calculation of bolts is set by default on the dialog and then imposed by the code to calculate the section in the background thread ? Are there regulatory elements that warrant to leave the choice to the user for the calculation of the nuts and bolts of the brackets?
The default option in AutoPIPE Vessel is to consider the section at "Tensile stress" area.
There is also nothing specified in the code for the use of a pitch of 3 mm for a bolt diameter greater than 24 mm (recommended Good Practice).
A new feature has been logged TFS-D103129: Bolting area used in ASME for flange calculation. This feature will print out a message when a calculation in ASME used the bolting area option "Tensile stress"
