Non-code combinations are randomly selected for inclusion in the flange analysis, even when you are not doing one! They subsequently cannot be removed. Why is this and what is the selection criteria?
What type of Analysis Method is being performed?
ANSI Flange check will evaluate each flanges per the non-code combinations whose print flag is enabled. All other combinations will be ignored
In the Flange analysis module, select the Load tab, here the user is given the opportunity to select a load case to be used for the given analysis. This Load Combination drop down listing is all the Non-Code Combinations enabled on the Tools> Combination> Non-Code Cmb tab.
From the Load Combination drop down listing, select the combination to use in the analysis calculated values or select User and specify specific values as required (i.e. Operating Case, Applied Force, Applied Bending Moment) as indicated below:
After the Flange analysis module is closed, Any Load Combination selected in the Flange Analysis module will be colored orange on the Tools> Combination> Non-code comb tab as indicated above. In order to get rid of these Orange colors, go to Flange Analysis module Load tab and select combination to "None".
Note: as indicated here, a complete model of the piping system is not necessary to use the Flange Analysis module. A minimal system of an Anchor, straight run of pipe at the correct size, a series of flange sets is all that is required. On Flange Analysis Load tab, select User from the drop down listing and enter the specific data as needed as shown above.
