Q. How to change Write Permission to an AutoPIPE installation folder?

You will need write permissions on the AutoPIPE installation directory before you can place files into this folder (ex. autopipe.exe, ap_mfc_orig.dll , etc..). Following are the steps to set up install directory permissions

Note: instructions below indicate v11, however the same can be used for v11 and higher.

  1. Close all instance of AutoPIPE
  2. Using File Explorer, open AutoPIPE installation folder (ex. C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley)
  3. Find AutoPIPE folder, right click on the folder and select Properties

  4. On this dialog, select Security

  5. Hit the Edit button

  6. Select “Users” group and give Full Control

  7. Hit Apply and OK button to save the changes

 Done!!!
