Yes, the software utilizes Internet-based services to activate and provide optional services. For licensing purposes, we estimate 900 KB per hour when running idle per the following CONNECTION Client FAQ. The CONNECT Advisor, an optional contextual help system included with some Bentley software (ex. AutoPIPE), initially downloads a few megabytes of data to populate a newsfeed when initially starting but does not consume additional bandwidth unless used as mentioned in the following CONNECT Advisor FAQ.
