Problem:

When using my Logitech G502 mouse. There is no middle mouse button equivalent, so I can’t do dynamic pan. Unfortunately attempts to install Logitech software failed.

Is there a way to map mouse buttons in AutoPIPE configuration somehow? I want to map scrollwheel click to be equivalent to middle mouse click to do dynamic pan.

Solution:

As of today, March 2020, AutoPIPE does not have any feature that exposes configuration settings of input related devices. This author has had many years of personal experience with an assortment of Logitech's mouse and keybords (current equipment K350 keyboard and M510 mouse). This equipment uses logitech's SetPoint software while the aforementioned equipment uses G Hub software.

See Logitech SetPoint software settings that enabled pushing down the mouse scroll wheel to function as a middle button:

As one can see, the scroll wheel push down button was simply mapped to Middle Button.

Recommendations, first work with your company's IT department on installing the equipment software. There may be a Windows or other computer settings preventing your from installing 3rd party hardware and software. If that does not help, contact Logitech and submit a service request for help on software / hardware installation. As a last resort, use a different mouse where the software can be installed and customize the scroll wheel push button as shown above.

One last suggestion, re-map mouse buttons using AutoHotkey software.
