Opening PDF files from within RFI and General Correspondence type packages
An option to view sent or received PDF files within RFI and General Correspondence packages has been introduced. Clicking on the PDF file will open a read-only version of the document within PDF Markup service.
If there is still the need to download the PDF file from the package it can be done from within PDF Markup service.
Issue attachments support for PDF review workflow
When creating an issue in a PDF received within submittal package, you can now select to add attachments to it. All files attached to an issue together with the issue information will be sent to transmittal author when submittal recipient sends their response.
Transmittal author can add attachments to an issue themselves if there is a need to clarify something when fixing an issue. The attachments will be sent to submittal recipient together with the new document version.
Copying custom forms together with Deliverables Management settings to another project
Copying settings from one project to another is a quick way to configure ProjectWise Deliverables Management settings in a ProjectWise project where you have just turned on ProjectWise Deliverables Management, assuming that you have already configured ProjectWise Deliverables Management settings in another project.
From now when copying Deliverables Management settings all Submittal Issue forms will be copied to the target project as well.
- Click the Settings icon to open the Settings page.
- On the General tab, click Select project.
- In the Copy Settings dialog, click the check box next to the project whose settings you want to copy to this project.
- Click Copy and overwrite or Copy and merge depending on if you want to replace existing Deliverables Management settings setup or just update.
Note that Submittal Issue forms will be merged/ added to existing Submittal forms already available in the target project, not depending on the copying option you chose in this step.
Generating and exporting detailed Excel reports about Outgoing or Incoming items issued during specific timeframe
When generating and exporting a detailed report (a Microsoft Excel file) from the portal, a user can either select some Outgoing or Incoming items they want to export information on or do not select any items on the tab and generate a report with information about all items listed on the tab.
Now when a user choose to export packages without selecting anything in the list they are presented with an option to choose a specific timeframe to export the data for. All packages issued during the selected timeframe will be exported for the you.
Enabling Deliverables Management service in a project
From now if a user wants to turn on Deliverables Management service in a ProjectWise project they will need to hold ProjectWise Deliverables Management "Managed Settings" role permission in Team Members management page.
New partial response notification for Transmittals
A new notification has been introduced for Transmittal packages. The notification is sent when a partial response is received for a transmittal. Anytime a submittal recipient sends response for one or multiple files from submittal package (apart from sending full response to all documents) a notification will be sent to transmittal creator and issuer.
The new notification receival is managed through Notification Preferences for each user individually. To access Notification Preferences settings:
- Click on your initials at the right hand side of Connect Portal Header
- Choose View Profile option
By default, partial response notification sending is off. If a user wants to receive this notification, they will need to turn on its sending through Notification Preferences settings.
Performance Enhancements
The document upload speed has been improved in the ProjectWise Deliverables Management connector for ProjectWise Explorer. This will result in a faster document upload and package issuing process in cases when multiple smaller files are being issued via the service.
New Deliverables Management import option
From now it will be possible to import document into Deliverables Management storage folder that has an environment set with required attributes in it and "Create attribute records upon document creation" setting turned on.
