Error or Warning Message
Authentication Failed. Delegate user is not setup correctly
Explanation
User recieved the error after logging into ProjectWise Web Parts on Sharepoint, with Single Sign On configured, after adding a new web part. The new web part added was using a datasource that did not have the delegate user configured.
How to Avoid
Option 1- configure the datasource with a delegate user
- On the Web Server, go to Start --> Programs --> Bentley --> ProjectWise v8i (SELECTSeries 4) --> Web Server and Web View Server (64-bit) --> ProjectWise Web Server Single SignOn Settings
- Select the datasource and enter the delegate user configured per the Implementation guide
Option 2-modify the web part to use another datasource that is configured with a delegate user
- Highlight over the web part arrow and select "Edit Web Part"
2. Change the Location drop down to the correct datasource
