Question: I have a SACS model which consists of both beam and plate elements. I am trying for a spectral/tow fatigue analysis. A System error is triggered every time when I put the fatigue run. Model input is checked properly and found correct.
Resolution: This system error is a known issue in the fatigue module. When reading memory file of plates, the current code line must only work when the Plate panel unity check option is set at zero (i.e., no design code selected for this option). This can be ensured by skipping the plate element stress options. And change the Plate Panel Check Option to “NONE” in OPTION Line Column 35. Also, change the Plate Element Check to “NO” in OPTION Line Column 38-39.
Since the spectral/tow fatigue can invite wave load for all possible directions, the more directions are included the higher the run time will take. To reduce the run time SACS has an option in fatigue input file. Please refer the below wiki article.

This bug is fixed in SACS V 23 minor 2.
