Solution

You can convert superelement data (stiffness matrix and load vectors) from a SACS binary file to a formatted (ASCII) text file by selecting ‘FRM’ in columns #8-10 of SUBOPT input line.

Follow these steps:-

1. Create a new subinp.formatted file as below:

    

2. In Analysis Generator, create a new run file. The subsef.dat being used as input here is the binary file generated from the super element creation.

    

After running the analysis, you will output the formatted ASCII text file as below:
