Grout in Pile Fatigue

Product(s):SACS
Version(s):23.
Area:Fatigue

Problem

I am performing a pile fatigue check based on pile common solution file (obtained from the psi analysis). The piles are defined as concentric tubular sections so that grout is considered within the pile and jacket wall.

However, in result, I do not see the grout effects in the piles. Why such odd outcome?

Solution

As of now, in SACS the grout thickness is ignored when pile fatigue analysis is performed. Hence, the output shows the outer thickness instead of effective thickness. The concentric tubular stiffness and cross-sectional properties are used for global stiffness and resulting inline member stress. But grout effect is not considered for SCF and thickness correction in SN curve.
