Problem:

"0xfffffffe" and "BeKBNotFound = KB4340917" appears in log file after AutoPIPE crashed while installing, why?

Solution:

Is  KB4340917 mentioned in the log file?

Yes:

The primary concern is that KB4340917 is mentioned in the log file. This is a Windows patch / update that was released. Please confirm that this patch has been installed or that the computer has a higher patch that would have incorporated this fix (ex. v.1709).

Windows 10

Search the computer for "Settings", click on System> About> Window Specification

If current Edition Version does not include KB4340917 update, install patch update from web page here

After the computer has the correct patch update applied, recommend to download CONNECTION Client using link here and install.

Finally, install the application to see if the problem has been resolved.

No:

As per the log file, it seems that the installation of CONNECT Client failed.

In some cases, this can be fixed in running the installation with an option to disable the silent mode of CONNECT Client.

See below the command line:

> apvs41030009en.exe  ConnectSilentMode="noquiet"

If the installation failed again: download CONNECTION Client using link here and install and then install the Bentley program.
