Problem
I have a model with a large beam, for example, a barge. Does MAXSURF Stability analyze longitudinal stability as well?
Solution
MAXSURF Stability is mainly created to analyze ship-shaped structures and it analyzes only transverse stability. This means that the longitudinal stability will not be analyzed. However, you can check longitudinal data in the output, such as trim and GM longitudinal.
