Question:

I am working on a Tow Fatigue run. I have Wave definition at 8 global directions with 45 degree intervals in my towinp file. I have provided input for wave spectral density in my ftginp file for each direction of wave definition. My fatigue run is taking long time to complete.

 

Solution:

A quick workaround to this can be managed by breaking the full towinp file into multiple towinp files, each corresponding to each global direction. In Fatigue input file user has the option to call multiple post files in FTOPT line as shown below.

When additional post files option is selected by user, the analysis generator will ask for the entire set of towinp and csf files as shown in below snap.

In this way, a splitting the entire file into multiple segments will reduce the analysis time by a considerable amount.
