NORSOK Joint Can Checks


Question:

How can we distinguish properly between ULS and ALS cases for joint can checks with option ‘NSR3’ NORSOK N-004 (rev 3 2013)?

Answer:

In the Joint Can input file, there is an input command GMFAC card where you can override the material factor.

Please run a separate post-processing with the joint can input file as we cannot specify this for specific load combinations only (ALS or ULS cases).
