Explanation
By default, OpenGround Cloud Professional comes with a number of picklist items predefined, this includes the Geology Legend Code list which comes with a large number of predefined entries. However, by default OpenGround Cloud Professional does not come with any items predefined for the Geology Codes. The following article will explain how to add new codes and also upload images to them.
Process
The following process can also be used to define any picklist item, just simply subsitute the StratumDetails - GeologyCode with the required item list that you wish to edit.
- Open OpenGround Cloud Professional and view the project manager screen without any projects open.
- Select the Configuration Packs option on the main ribbon bar.
- Select the Configuration Pack that you wish to add the templates too (By default there will only be one pack available, labelled Default. A new pack can be created if desired).
- Select the Manage Picklist option on the main ribbon bar.
- Scroll down the list and select the StratumDetails - GeologyCode field.
- Select the Edit button.
- Click the option to add a new item.
- Add the values for the Value and Description.
- Repeat Step 8 for each required value.
- To import an image to the picklist, select the value that you wish to add the image to and select Edit Image.
- The import form will be displayed and you will be prompted to select the image that you wish to use.
- Once selected the file will be read and you should see the image section of the form will update to show that the image will now be used.
- Repeat Step 12 for each required image.
- Click on Save and Exit each form.
The next time that a section, or a log is created that uses this field, the image will then be placed on the log in the corresponding location. When entering data directly into OpenGround Cloud Professional, the picklist will now be available for selection (complete with image).
