E511-1: Invalid AutoPIPE data file

OK

Solution:

However this file was created, opened, saved, stored, zipped, unzipped, transmitted, etc. it is no longer in a valid format for the version of the program currently being used.

One typical reason would be that the model was originally created in a higher version of the program (ex. AutoPIPE CONNECT10.00.00.10) and is now trying to be opened by a lower version of the program (ex. AutoPIPE V8i 09.05.01.05).

Avoidance:

Option #1:

Press OK button, to continue trying to open the file, additional windows may appear, continue to accept them as needed, eventually the model may open. Regardless, there is bound to be problems with the model because the file was not formatted correctly and the program used default setting or blank entries to fill in unknown data behind the scenes in the database. Suggest to NOT use this option., see option #2.

Option #2:

Reopen the model in the same version of the program last used (ex. AutoPIPE CONNECT 10.00.00.10) to create the file, select File> Save As command and select a version of the program format to save the file back too:

Sometimes going back 1-2 release is sufficient. This will ensure the file is correctly reformatted for a lower version of the program. This will create a DAT file with the _Version at the end. Now open the newly created file in the current version of the AutoPIPE.

Option #3:

Try opening the trouble file in a newer version of the application. Example error message occurs when opening file in AutoPIPE V8i 09.06.02.06, now try opening the same file in a newer version of the application, AutoPIPE CONNECT 10.01.00.08. This is the same logic as using Option #2 above. The higher version will reformat the older version format hoping to fix whatever database discrepancies that may have occurred.

Option #4:

A a last ditch effort to correct a potentially corrupted model, perform these steps here.
