How To Assign a colour to geology codes

Explanation

Assigning colours to Geology Codes can prove helpful when using templates which include a geological strip based on this field. A typical example might be the 'Default Section Log with Geology Code'.

Process

The following routine should either be performed within the Configuration Pack or with a specific project, depending on the applicability of the changes. This example follows the project method, although the steps are comparable for Configuration Packs.

  1. Open OpenGround Cloud Professional.
  2. Open either the project or configuration pack, as appropriate.
  3. Select 'Manage Picklists' (under the 'Configuration' ribbon when in a project).
  4. Select 'Stratum Details - Geology Code' and click 'Edit'.
  5. Select the required Geology Code and then 'Edit Image'. Browse to an image file; typically this might be a solid colour created in a third party application such as MS Paint.
  6. Save the changes.

Note: when working in a project Geology Codes which are defined at that level will be coloured orange; these are the items which can be edited as described above at project level. Items which are not coloured will be derived from the configuration pack and so must be edited at that level.
