Explanation

If you wish to export a template from one database and then import to another please follow the steps below.

Please note that any templates that are imported / exported in this manner will not be editable within Template Studio.

Process

Note, before you start ensure your template you wish to export is saved to the configuration pack.

• Open OpenGround and login as the administrator to the database you wish to export the template from.
• From the ribbon go to System>Configuration Packs
• Select your Configuration Pack (likely "Default" if no other has been created)
• From the ribbon select "Manage Components"
• You will then get the following window open. From the "Component Type" picklist select "Report Templates"

• Tick the template you wish to export and then select the "Export" option.
• Give the file a name and save it in a location you can find.

To now import that file into the other database, login to the database as the Administrator.

• From the Ribbon go to System>Configuration Packs
• Select your Configuration Pack (likely "Default" if no other has been created)
• From the ribbon now select "Import Components"
• When the window opens use the browse option to browse to your saved template and then "Import".

Following this the template will be in the system and ready to use.
