Problem
RGB Alpha is not an available mode when saving images.
RGB Alpha is no longer available as an option when trying to save an image of the file (Utilities > Image > Save). In previous versions of MicroStation, user was able to set Format to an alpha-capable file type (such as PNG or TIFF), and choose RGB Alpha as a setting for Mode. Now, RGB Alpha is no longer an option under the mode setting, even with a compatible file type.
Solution
To enable mode RGB Alpha when saving images:
1. Set the variable _USTN_QVSAVERGBA to 1
2. In the Save Image dialog, set Format to one of the following alpha-compatible images:
- Portable Network Graphics (.png)
- Tag Image File Format (.tif or .tiff)
- Targa (.tga)
- Adobe Photoshop (.psd)
RGB Alpha will now be an available mode.
