Problem
Can the Degree Display Character be set using the UPF or PCF?

Solution
The Degree Display Character value through Workspace >
Preferences is stored in the upf file. However the value is also
controlled by the font being used from the resource files that
are loaded. Meaning if the font being used has the degree
display character as 176 then it will be used. This is not
controlled through a configuration variable and therefore
cannot be set through the pcf file
