Problem

How to stop all hints from displaying in MicroStation V8 XM Edition.

Solution

First turn off the Position Mapping Preference 'Show Position Mapping Aids'. Next set the configuration variable: MS_NO_POSITION_MAPPING_HINTS= 1

Note: all hints, including those associated with the Main and Active Tasks will not be displayed.
