Problem

Detailing symbols upgraded V8 XM to V8i

I'm trying to place detailing symbols after upgrading to V8i, but I'm finding that the tools work differently than I was used to in V8 XM. How can I customize the Detailing symbols to suit my needs? The toolbox in V8 XM is Tools > Annotation > Detailing Symbols.

Solution

Those tools have been completely removed from MicroStation. Instead, use the new Detailing Symbol tools (found under Tools > Detailing Symbols), and create your own custom Detailing Symbol Styles (Element > Detailing Symbol Styles).
