Cannot rename level in active file
With Level Library or normal design open as active file, level names
can't be changed. Trying renaming a level results in a warning "Cannot
change name of a library level". The level is in the active file, no
(other) Level Libraries configured or attached.
Levels may be marked as from library
Somehow, possibly due to editing in a configuration with Level Libraries
configured, the levels may have been marked as originating from a Level
Library. This marking remains with the Level Libraries removed.
Solution 1:
Start MicroStation with no configured Level Libraries.
Create a new, empty design or Level Library.
Import levels from the old design or Level Library.
This will create levels in the new file with the same names and
attributes as the ones in the old. If the file is/was a Level Library
this may break the connection between the old Level Library and levels
from it used in other files.
Solution 2:
Start MicroStation with no configured Level Libraries.
Open the Level Library.
Place at least one element on every level.*
Open Level Manager and "Update levels from library".
This will update the levels in the Level library and remove the
information that marks the levels as library levels.
* When MS_UPDATE_KEEP_UNUSED_LIBRARY_LEVELS is set, there's no need to place elements on all levels.
