Converting GCS from ED50-IGN.ES-UTM30 to ETRS89-UTM30N using the Spanish
grid R2009V9.gs gives wrong results using Ms V8i SS1 and SS2.
MicroStation SS3 08.11.09.357 solves this issue
Workaround:
The workflow to be used is:
1. Download R2009V9.gsb from Spanish National Geographic Institute
example http://www.geo.euskadi.net/s69-geocont/en/contenidos/informacion/transformacion_datum_2009/en_17/transformacion.html
2. Paste R2009V9.gsb in Spain folder in the directory C:\Program
Files\Bentley\MicroStation V8iSS3\MicroStation\GeoCoordinateData\Spain
3. Inside folder GeoCoordinatesdata in MS SS3 open Ed50ToEtrf89.gdc
with notepad and verify the following lines are this way:
#.\Spain\BALR2009.gsb
.\Spain\R2009V9.gsb
#.\Spain\sped2et-2005.gsb
Also the last line related to Fallback should be:
Fallback=ERP50-SP-EST99
4. Open you dgn file and apply GCS ED50-IGN.ES-UTM30
5. Save changes
6. Apply new GCS ETRS89-UTM30N using reprojection
