Background

Opening MicroStation V8 launchs error message “the clock of the system seems to be delayed".

Adjusting computer’s date and time does not solve the issue.

How to Fix it

This message seems to be related with the change of the internal battery in the hardware.

This generates a temporary file (example: filesf.dat) together with msv8.lic in the following directory:

Program Files\Bentley\Program\Licensing\

By deleting temporary file (.*dat) the issue is solved.
