Problem:

When the pipe is in the fully restrained condition (but with thermal expansion and pressure applied) does the program make the necessary corrections for this condition?

Example: with steel pipe, its strength is effectively reduced and one would need to look at the combined stresses rather than just the hoop and axial separately.

Solution:

Code Combinations are combined by the user after the analysis is performed.  AutoPIPE will automatically combine some Load Combinations based on requirements of the code used in the model.  Other than that, the user must make sure the load cases and combinations are set up correctly.  This can be done in the Load Combination (Tools>Combinations) dialog box.  Suggest using the help menu, as it describes in detail all of the options in this dialog box.  There are also important options in the following dialog boxes:
