Overview

When creating new Toolboxes in MicroStation, you may want to create toolbox inside of a toolbox.

Steps to Accomplish

If user wants to have a toolbox that has a tool/icon -> after pressing tool it opens separate toolbox. To accomplish this:

  1. Open Customize dialog
  2. Load *.dgnlib  where toolboxes will be stored

  3. Create new toolbox
  4. Add new tool into this toolbox

  5. Tools are control by Key-in commands. Add Key-in: dialog toolbox “user tool” open

(here the user tool  is toolbox name – custom toolbox name must be added in quotes)

If user would like to get a dropping toolbox from tool in toolbox (dropping tool lists more tools):

  1. Open Customize dialog
  2. Load *.dgnlib  where toolboxes will be stored

  3. Create new toolbox

  4. In toolbox add additional second toolbox

  5. Create tools in sub toolbox
