As SYNCHRO Perform is further integrated with SYNCHRO, one of the first steps for accounts is to link their SYNCHRO Perform users to Bentley's Identity Management System (IMS). 

Note: This guide is intended for end users when an Administrator has directed them to link IMS. Contact your project Admin if you have any questions. Currently Mobile users don't require IMS, but can voluntarily set one up now, as future updates will require an IMS account to login to the mobile applicaiton.

The benefits of IMS login include:

- A single password to manage for all Bentley products

- Federation for organizations

- Simplified experience when working across Bentley products

Step 1 - Set up a Bentley IMS Account (skip this if you already have one)

Go to, https://ims.bentley.com, click on 'Register Now'.

Step 2 - Go to your SYNCHRO Perform User Profile

- Go to your SYNCHRO Perform Project URL. This will be similar to https://companyname.e7.site

- In the top right corner, select the drop down beside your avatar and click on My Profile

 Step 3 - Link to your Bentley IMS account

- Under Change Details click on the blue Link Your Bentley Systems Account button

- You will be redirected to a page to confirm your name and email

That's it! 

Next time you go to your project and login, you will now select the green Sign in with Bentley Systems button which will prompt you to login with IMS
