Dataclips can be provisioned through our self-service portal for users with a minimum permission of project_config.
Third-Party integrations or custom reporting requirements will often require datasources that can be automated and built into an integration. SYNCHRO Perform is able to support the individual needs of projects, by providing these data streams through Dataclips. For multiple projects, please include the URLs to each project and the specific dataclips you need provisioned.
SYNCHRO Perform is adept at delivering tailor-made data solutions via Dataclips, serving diverse integration and reporting requirements. Prioritising performance and efficiency, SYNCHRO Perform generally avoids offering live Dataclips. The preference is for backgrounded Dataclips, which better suit the need for performance efficiency.
Backgrounded Dataclips: Operating as the default mode, these Dataclips execute queries at set intervals, with a standard 4-hour refresh cycle. This method balances regular data updates with optimal system performance. Additionally, for projects where updates are needed beyond this routine schedule
Live Dataclips: In light of performance considerations, live Dataclips, which run queries in real-time, are typically not available. This approach is strategic to uphold the best possible system performance and user experience.
To provision these dataclips for your project, you are required to have a user permission role of project_config:
Under Settings > Go To Project > Dataclips > Provision Dataclips
Each individual user can generate their own credentials for dataclips
Use the Username and Password provided for your account in any application you wish to utilise the dataclip for

If you require dataclips not listed, please log a support request via the Support Portal.
Depending on the size of the dataclip, you may receive an initial error "dataclip stale." This is likely due to the dataclip being accessed for the first time, or going dormant after a long period of no use. Calling the dataclip will trigger a new refresh/download that will eventually correct any stale dataclip errors initially encountered. On projects with large data volumes, the self-service dataclips may not always be successful. If you require additional dataclips, or any of the existing or not working, then please submit a service request with the following information.
