Competencies hold relevant attributes for a Person, which may include qualifications, licences or keys issued, and the status or validity of these qualifications (such as license dates and site access). Competencies can be updated individually or in bulk.
- Click on Resources > Competencies.
- Click
Export and click the link that appears to download a spreadsheet of Competencies.

- Add or remove relevant Competencies from the downloaded spreadsheet as needed.
The Issued On of a Competency must be earlier than its Expires On date. - To upload Competencies, click Choose File and select a spreadsheet with the relevant data.
- Click on Append/Update or Replace.
Append/Update adds new data to the existing data, changing only fields that have been edited.
This is best used for making minor updates
Replace deletes all existing data and replaces it with new data.
This is best used when overhauling the existing record with an entirely new record. - Once the file has loaded, click Upload, then click Apply Changes in the page that opens to save the new data to SYNCHRO Perform.
- Click on Competencies File for a list of column definitions

The Blocks Access field is typically used to define if a Person has permission to enter a site based on whether their competency is valid or not
A notification will display on SYNCHRO Perform Mobile when recording Attendance if access is blocked (Note: This feature can be enabled upon request).

- To view the Competencies of a Person individually, click on the Person’s name to see their record.
