Software Verification Test Systems

The Bentley AutoPIPE Acceptance Test Set (ATS) provides the user with a recommended procedure for validating the integrity of the installed AutoPIPE 10.01.00.09 program.

Prior to any commercial or Quality Assured release, the accuracy of the AutoPIPE program is verified by the execution of Alpha Tests. These Alpha Tests consist of a matrix of test systems designed to capture key feature attributes related to numeric and functional processing. Each set of test outputs is compared to a prepared set of expected results (i.e. hand calculations, some other well-established computer program, etc.), and evaluated for acceptance. The test matrix has been developed, verified, and documented per the requirements of the Bentley Software Quality Assurance Procedures (D/N# QAP).

The Acceptance Test Set includes input files and full documentation covering a sampling of test systems and results documented from the Alpha Tests.

Although many program features are verified by the ATS, it should not be construed as being complete for testing of all program functions. Additional tests for specific program features are continually being developed.

System Requirements

You must have a CD drive or Internet access for product installation. The following prerequisites are required to run the Acceptance Test Set for Bentley AutoPIPE CONNECT. 

AutoPIPE	A fully authorized copy of AutoPIPE Version 10.01.00.09 must be installed on your system prior to installing the ATS system files.
Processor	Intel Pentium IV or higher.
Operating System	Windows 7 Professional or higher Windows 8 Professional or higher Windows 8.1 Professional or higher Windows 10 Professional or higher
Memory	Minimum 2GB
Hard Disk	The uncompressed input files (.DAT, .CMB, .UNT, .SPC, .XML, and .OUT etc.) require at least 90 MB of hard disk space.
Input Device	Any industry-standard input device supported by Microsoft Windows.
Output device	Any industry-standard output device supported by Microsoft Windows.
PDF Reader	Adobe® Acrobat Reader 7.0 or greater

Product Directory Structure

When you receive an ATS DVD from Bentley, the product directory structure for this product appears as shown below. To install from the DVD, locate and run the setup.exe file. Refer to the Installation Help below.

                          |_setup.exe - This initiates the installation process. Follow the instructions given below. 

Installation Help

Before you install the Acceptance Test Set files, you should confirm that you have adequate hardware and software capabilities to execute the test samples.

1.       From ATS DVD, locate and run the setup.exe to initiate the installation process.The setup program will guide you step-by-step to install the contents to the hard disk.

2.       The default destination directory is "C:\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT\ATS".

3.       The input files will be placed in the specified destination and the previously verified output files(benchmark) will be placed in a directory named “OUT” located in the destination directory.

4.       Once all the files have been installed, the setup program will display the final dialog. An icon will be added to the program group allowing you to review this file at a later time.

5.       Select “Finish” to complete the installation.

Licensing:  There are no authorization or License File requirements to use the AutoPIPE Acceptance Test Set.
