Tagged Items are any line items from the design document on a project, such as securing cables, installing piping and so on.
A Tagged Item Register records progress for Tagged Items, and is usually created early on in a project, but can be created at any stage
Progress is tracked in the Tagged Item Register by recording the date by which work on a Tagged Item is completed, passing a milestone gate.
This concept may also be referred to as 'Rules of Credit'.
Set progress points (such as completing a concrete pour for a foundation) are referred to as 'gates' in the Tagged Item Register. Gates can also break down into 'Primary Gates' and 'Secondary Gates' to provide additional information, but this is not required.
An Activity (the work required to complete the overall project) is broken down into several gates, which are then assigned a percentage based on their importance in completing the Activity.
