Work Roster Codes (or ‘Work Codes’) are applied to the Work Roster to specify start and end dates, rostered days off, or any other type of work required. Custom codes can also be added to suit specific project needs.
- Click on Settings > Rosters > Work Codes.

- To add a new code, click Add work code
. - Enter a unique Code, and a Name to describe it.
The Code cannot exceed five letters. - Select Roster Start or Roster End to reflect if the Code starts or ends work in the Work Roster.
- If Roster Start is selected, enter a number in Sequence Offset; this sets the days until a Person starts working after the Roster Start.
- If there is no offset after a start, enter ‘0’.
- Click Create Work Code to save the Code.

, make any changes, then click Update Work Code. - To delete a Work Code, click

Work Codes currently used in the Work Roster cannot be deleted; all usages must first be removed from the Work Roster.
Setting Work Roster Codes - Time Rules
Time Rules automatically populate time and usage for a set Work Reference and Work Code. If a Work Code with a Time Rule is used in the Work Roster, SYNCHRO Perform automatically creates a timesheet entry for that Person for that day*. Time Rules are typically used for recurring events such as Annual Leave.
- Click on a Work Code to open its page this shows the Code’s details and any current Time Rules.

- To add a Time Rule, click Add Time Rule
. - Select a Work Reference, Usage Code and Rate Code, and set the number of Hours.
- Setting the Work Reference links the Work Code to a specific Activity, such as site clearing or excavation.
- Click Create Work time rule to save the Rule.

to edit an existing Time Rule, or
to delete it.
* The Timesheet must still be submitted by the Person, or their Supervisor.
