How do I record People or Equipment Usage (Timesheets)?

With SYNCHRO Perform, you can record Usage (the time worked) for people for both Activities (planned work) and Events (unplanned work and delays). Usage can be recorded via SYNCHRO Perform and SYNCHRO Perform Mobile, and also linked to a Docket, to best suit your needs.

SYNCHRO Perform allows you to record the quantities of Other Resources (such as cubic meters of concrete, lengths of chain, etc.), to show what was used or installed on site for a given period.

A Resource needs to be assigned to the project before Usage can be captured for that Resource - refer to Create and Assign Resources

Web Recording

This is the most comprehensive option for recording Usage, and is ideal for those who work in an office, rather than in the field.

The Resource Usage Matrix is one method to record the usage of People, Equipment, or Other Resource types on both Activities and Events on a day-by-day basis in SYNCHRO Perform.

The Enter Usage function is another method to record the usage for an individual resource

Mobile Recording

A Mobile Timesheet can be used to record the usage of People, Equipment, or Other Resource types on both Activities and Events on mobile phones or tablets.

The Resource Usage Matrix can be accessed via the SYNCHRO Perform Mobile app, however this is currently only available on iPad, not on mobile phones or Android tablets. The device must be online with an internet connection and will open the Resource Usage Matrix which can then be used as it would on a desktop browser.

Dockets are another method for capturing usage on mobile devices, especially for subcontractor users. There are multiple types of dockets available:

The Inspection Timesheet is also available for project inspectors to capture a record of generic project resources. This enables multiple records of the same resource to be recorded in the same day.
