Problem:
Why is there no Max Range code combination for HDPE piping with the "Include Max Range comb" option enabled?
Solution:
At this time, May 2019, Max range code combination only applies to metallic piping and not default combinations with the suffix "-HDPE".
Workaround:
Create a user defined combination to find maximum resultant moment among all the default combinations with the suffix "-HDPE".
Example:
Model has 3 temperature cases, create a user defined combination. Suggest that Combination method be set to 8-Res Max and Category be set to PE Expan, and then add up to 10 default load combinations to be evaluated.
Note: if a model has 50 thermal load cases to be evaluated, suggest to create 5 new user load cases to evaluate 10 load cases each, and then create an additional load case to evaluate the 5 new user load cases. Thus finding the load case with the highest result quantity based on resultant maximum at each location.
