Problem:
We are analyzing the Stiffness values per API 650, the nozzle has a 25mm thick reinforcing pad, although I select yes to reinforcement (shell side), I cannot see where to enter the reinforcement thickness? Do you just add it to the shell thickness at the top so 25+25 =50mm for shell thickness? Then simply select if the reinforcement is shell or nozzle side.
Solution:
For the API 650 stiffness calculations, the actual pad size is not important. Therefore AutoPIPE does not have an input for the values. Please see API 650 code for details on the calculations
