Problem:

How Autopipe calculate the Forces and Moments to evaluate the "DNV local buckling category"?

Solution:

Force and Moment components for Functional, Environmental, Interference and accidental categories are considered as per selections made on DNV Result Options dialog:

Forces and Moments components defined for corresponding categories are then used to calculate design load effects as per DNV code’s equation 4.6/4.8:

These components are then used by AutoPIPE to calculate “internal overpressure” (code’s equation 5.19) and “external overpressure” (code’s equation 5.28), as per applicable conditions for DNV local buckling category.
