Added as a full command: AutoPIPE CONNECT 11.04.00.10 and higher

When Valve is selected from the Insert or Modify tabs, the Valve dialog is displayed. A variety of standard and non-standard valves may be inserted in an AutoPIPE model. Based on a valve rating and type, many parameters can be recalled from the component library to reduce the need for extensive user-input. The following fields are to be considered technology preview commands:

a. Manufacturer

b. Standard

c. Sub Category

d. Type

e. Main End

Manufacturer

When the Valve dialog is opened, AutoPIPE retrieves all valve manufacturers from the database and adds them to this drop-down pick-list. Sorting is automatically enabled and applied. For manufacturers other than AutoPIPE Generic, AutoPIPE displays a technology preview message in the bottom left corner of Valve dialog (see image above)

Note: Following is a list of manufactures currently available in the program. If there is a manufacture you would like to see added, please log a Bentley Service request that specifies what valve type should be added and an attached manufacture valve catalog with all the information needed by the program.

Standard

After updating the Manufacturer field, AutoPIPE retrieves all Standards for the selected Manufacturer from the database and adds these to the drop-down pick-list. Sorting is automatically enabled and applied.

Sub Category

After updating the Standard field, AutoPIPE retrieves all valve Sub Categories for the selected Manufacturer and Standard from the database and adds these to the drop-down pick-list. Sorting is automatically enabled and applied.

Type

After updating Sub Category field, AutoPIPE retrieves all valve Types for the selected Manufacturer, Standard and Sub Category from the database and adds these to the drop-down pick-list. Sorting is automatically enabled and applied.

Main End

After updating the Type field, AutoPIPE retrieves all valve Main Ends for the selected Manufacturer, Standard, Sub Category and Type from the database and adds these to the drop-down pick-list. Sorting is automatically enabled and applied.
