Client Editor: Working with the Clearances Tab

The Clearances tab in the Client Editor contains five sub-tabs where specific values and categories are defined for clearance validations to be utilized in SPIDAcalc. The identification values entered in each of the sub-tabs are used to create the rules in SPIDAcalc and the values are used in the clearance analysis.

Defining a Wire State

Create a new wire state entry by completing the Identification and General Weather Case fields in the Wire States sub-tab.

Imperial or metric units can be used for most of the entries below (and subsequent Properties fields) by selecting Options > Unit System in the Client Editor.

Select the Enter button to define the new wire state listing or the Clear button to reset all identification and weather fields. Once the Enter button is selected, the new wire state listing is displayed in the adjacent selection tree on the right side of the screen.

Defining an Environment

Create a new environment entry by completing the Identification field in the Environments sub-tab. The values entered in the Identification Fields will be used to create the environment entry name which will appear in SPIDAcalc.

Select the Enter button to define the new environment listing or the Clear button to reset all identification fields. Once the Enter button is selected, the new environment listing is displayed in the adjacent selection tree on the right side of the screen.
