When importing an NTL file into AutoPIPE the following was reported in *.MSG file:
*** ERROR: INPUT UNIT FILE NOT READABLE.
Why and how to avoid it?
Open the NTL file in any text editor (Notepad++, Ultra Edit, MS Word, etcc) and review lines down to "***" :
Example:
Refer to AutoPIPE help section for details on the definitions for each line:
Scrolling further down on this Batch reference card revels the definitions:
IUNT: Input units file. Enter the name of the units file containing units for all variables in the batch file. This file name should have a .UNT extension; however, do not enter the extension.
BLANK: Default is AUTOPIPE.
OUNT: Output units file. Enter the name of the units file containing units for data to be output to reports and summaries from within AutoPIPE. This file name should have a .UNT extension. However, do not enter the extension.
BLANK: Default is AUTOPIPE.
From the screen shot above, input and output files are indicated as:
Input Unit file = P1872
Output Unit file = P1872
That would mean that these files (P1872.UNT) must be located in one of two locations:
1. The same folder as NTL file trying to be opened
OR
2. AutoPIPE installation folder
