Problem:

When importing an NTL file, the Fluid Density scale factor on the analysis set dialog is set to a default of 0.00. why?

Solution:

A new enhancement was logged:

Defect 177463: Fluid density is not initialized to default of 1 when creating a new model using NTL Import.

Also when importing an NTL file using AutoPIPE V8i 9.4 - 9.6,  the internal Fluid density value is set to 0.00. This cause a problem when performing a hanger analysis. This was logged under:

Defect 262594:Program does not initialize fluid density factor to 1.0 for hanger selection analysis set when importing NTL

Description:

When importing a model in AutoPIPE through NTL, the fluid density factor used by the program when performing hanger selection analysis is set to 0.0.

Avoidance:

The workaround is to save the model as 9.4.0 (File > Save As > AutoPIPE 9.4 Model (*.dat)) and then re-open in the latest version. This was the fluid density factor is reset to 1.0 for hanger selection set internally, and the results come out correctly.

Fixed version: AutoPIPE CONNECT 10.01 and higher.
